Hans Georg Pflüger had his first song published in 1962 * Studied composition with Henk Badings and Wolfgang Fortner, organ with Karl Richter * 1972 went to Siena following a scholarship of the Italian government, there composition of songs including the song cycle Lazarus in ten parts after poems by Heine * 1988 first performance of Metamorphosen for violin, piano, 13 wind instruments and percussion under Dennis Russell Davies in Bonn * Hans Georg Pflüger's special interest in music for horn resulted in numerous works for that instrument, including the Horn Concerto (1983) * 1993 first performance of his Piano Concerto (1992) with Gerhard Oppitz and the Badische Staatskapelle under Günter Neuhold * 1999 Pflüger died in Bietigheim, where he had lived since 1950 * His works include over sixty pieces in all major musical genres
